Charlie Bartlett is a movie about a wealthy high school student. He constantly finds himself getting kicked out of every private school. Charlie then goes to a public school with normal everyday students. He doesn't really fit in at first until he begins handing out prescription drugs to those who have no way of getting them, also playing the role of a psychiatrist. Charlie begins having psychotherapy sessions in the boys restroom where he diagnosis the cause and gives out biomedical therapy to his peers. Though it doesn't take long for trouble to come his way and end. Charlie's private sessions and biomedical handouts come to an end when the principle can no longer ignore Charlie and his possible danger to the students.
This is a good movie even though is involves a young high school student who has the ability to get his hands on biomedical therapy prescriptions. Charlie does show that he has some limitation to who and what each student gets, he does do many kinds of therapies. He offers his peers free association of their troubles while showing his empathy for their conditions. With his psychotherapy and biomedical therapies Charlie was successful with his peers that a therapeutic alliance was created. This relates to the class because it had a relatedness to the class and the psychological therapies of chapter 15.
